Moving can come with a lot of important tasks, but there are only a few simple things you need to do to make moving in or moving out of a home enrolled in PeakRewardsSM a breeze!

Moving In

Moving is an exciting time, and while you’re getting settled in your new home, it’s a great time to find out if your home is enrolled in PeakRewards. If it is, you’ll enjoy bill credits June–September (up to $100!).

Before you get started make sure you take the following steps to confirm your enrollment in PeakRewards.

  1. Confirm your serial number: you should receive a letter a few weeks after you move in with your thermostat serial number and other enrollment details.
  2. Register your ecobee3 lite.
  3. Call PeakRewards at 1.888.309.PEAK (7325) Monday–Friday, 8am – 5pm, with any questions or concerns.

Moving Out

Moving out can be stressful and exciting, and there are just a few things you need to do to get your PeakRewards Wi-Fi thermostat ready for the new owners. Plus – if you’re feeling proactive, you can contact our customer hotline and find out if your new address is enrolled in PeakRewards so you can keep enjoying your summer bill credits.

The EmPOWER Maryland charge funds programs that can help you reduce your energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and save you money. Since the inception of the EmPOWER Maryland program in 2008, the programs have saved $14.5 billion on installed measures at a cost of $4.1 billion. In addition to new program costs, this charge includes paying off the uncollected costs that were accrued over time by programs required by the EmPOWER statute and authorized by the Commission. In accordance with House Bill 864 the uncollected amounts will be fully paid by the end of 2032.
